We are outraged that, despite a Court Application in process against the council’s refusal to extend the Café’s license, the Council decided to bulldoze the Café in the middle of the night.
We are concerned, that the Council is demonstrating unfair treatment in favour of the Sands End Arts and Community Centre, and has acted in a deliberate and calculating fashion in order to remove the competition from a long standing, and much valued, small local business.
We call on the Council to reverse its decision, allow Paggs Café to operate within South Park, and to provide compensation to allow it to rebuild.
