Joanna was elected as a councillor for Pembridge in 2022. Having moved to Pembridge in 1991, Joanna lives here with her family who went to primary school locally. A trained solicitor who worked in business for over 10 years, she runs her local residents’ association and has been active in standing up for residents on local planning and licensing matters. Joanna is a member of the Pembridge & Norland Police Ward Panel, where the police and local residents meet to agree local policing priorities and talk about how best to address resident concerns.
Joanna is passionate about reducing waste, reuse and recycling, having been on the board of Western Riverside Waste Authority. She was an elected RBKC councillor until 2016 and served in different roles, from working closely with the police to chairing detailed scrutiny reviews into Portobello Market and the Kensington Leisure Centre. For 10 years she was on the board of the Citizens Advice Bureaux for Kensington and Chelsea and since 2013 has been a trustee of the Clement James Centre in North Kensington.
Joanna loves the vibrancy of Pembridge and is keen to ensure we keep the right balance between residents and business so that the two can co-exist and to enhance the area by clearing up the graffiti and working to tackle antisocial behaviour.
